Kylian Mbappé Lottin, born 20 December 1998, is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the France national team.
He is regarded as one of the best players in the world and is known for his dribbling abilities, outstanding speed, and finishing ability.
Early life and Education
Kylian Mbappé Lottin was born on December 20, 1998 in Paris’s 19th arrondissement and reared in Bondy, Seine-Saint-Denis, in Paris’s northeastern suburbs.
His father, Wilfried, is originally from Cameroon and works as a football instructor in addition to being Mbappé’s agent.
Fayza Lamari, his mother, is of Algerian Kabyle ancestry and a former handball player.
Ethan, his younger brother, plays for Paris Saint-Germain’s youth team.
Jirès Kembo Ekoko, Mbappé’s adoptive brother, is also a professional footballer.
Kylian Mbappé attended a private Catholic school in Bondy as a child, where he was deemed intellectually talented but disruptive.
He began taking Spanish lessons at the age of 15 and quickly became fluent in the language.
His childhood inspirations included Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Nazário, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
During his childhood, he had a nanny whose entire family was an AC Milan fan, and from whom Mbappé once received Robinho’s number 70 shirt as a gift.
However, as a child, Mbappé aspired to play for Real Madrid.

Club Career
Kylian Mbappé began his career at AS Bondy, coached by his father, Wilfried.
Mbappé, who was born in Paris and raised in nearby Bondy, began his professional club career in 2015 with Monaco, where he won the Ligue 1 title.
Mbappé, then 18, signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent deal worth €180 million in 2017.
Making him the second-most expensive player and the most expensive teenager of all time.
He won four Ligue 1 titles and three Coupes de France during his time at the club, including a domestic quadruple in the 2019-20 season.

He finished the tournament as France’s joint second-highest goalscorer, and he was named FIFA World Cup Best Young Player and French Player of the Year for his efforts.

Mbappé is a practicing Christian.
He amassed more than 50 million Instagram followers less than four years after making his professional debut.
While he confesses that his “life has been completely turned upside down” since first entering the spotlight, he claims to be “happy.”
Mbappé is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
He was long married to actress Emma Smet.
In 2022, he was romantically involved with model and trans activist Ines Rau.
