Conor Anthony McGregor, born on 14 July 1988, is an Irish professional Mixed martial arts fighter.
He is a former featherweight and lightweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
He is the first UFC fighter to hold UFC titles in two weight classes simultaneously in time. He was also the featherweight and lightweight champion of Cage Warriors.
Conor McGregor is well-known for his aggressive and domineering fighting style.
His aggressive demeanor in the octagon is known to be one of the most intimidating, which contributes significantly to his victories.
His brutal fighting style has earned him the nickname “The Notorious,” and it has earned him several championship titles.
Early life and Education
Conor Anthony McGregor, the son of Tony and Margaret McGregor, was born in Crumlin, Dublin.
Conor grew up in Crumlin and attended Irish-language schools, Gaelscoil Scoil Mológa in Harold’s Cross for primary school and Gaelcholáiste Coláiste de hÍde in Tallaght for secondary school, where he also developed his passion for sports and playing football.
He used to play football for Lourdes Celtic Football Club.
He also began boxing at Crumlin Boxing Club at the age of 12 to defend himself against bullies and boost his confidence.
In 2006, McGregor moved with his family to Lucan, Ireland, attending Gaelcholáiste Coláiste Cois Life.
Thereafter, he began a plumbing apprenticeship. While in Lucan, he met future UFC fighter Tom Egan, and the two quickly began training in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Career
Conor McGregor made his Mixed martial arts debut on February 17, 2007, for the ‘Irish Ring of Truth’ in Dublin.
McGregor won an amateur fight against Kieran Campbell. Following his victory, he was signed by the ‘Irish Cage of Truth.’
He won his first professional MMA fight on March 9, 2008, against Gary Morris. He then triumphed over Mo Taylor.
McGregor, who began fighting in 2008, has participated in 26 fights, winning 22 of them.
McGregor has knocked out his opponents 19 times in his 22 fight wins.
On 14 June 2017, it was announced that McGregor would participate in his first professional boxing match against the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26, 2017, at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Mayweather won the fight via TKO in the tenth round. Given the fight’s pay-per-view success, Mayweather reportedly made roughly $280 million overall, while McGregor earned $130 million.

Personal Life
Erin and Aoife McGregor are McGregor’s sisters. Since 2008, he has been in a relationship with his fiancée, Dee Devlin. They have three kids.
McGregor frequently trains at Reykjavik’s Mjölnir gym, alongside fellow UFC fighter Gunnar Nelson.
He has indicated that he does not adhere to any pre-fight rituals or superstitions because he believes them to be “a sort of fear”.
McGregor is a Catholic.
McGregor enjoys football and supports both Celtic and Manchester United. As a buddy of Sergio Ramos, he has also expressed his support for Paris Saint-Germain.
