Achraf Hakimi Mouh, born 4 November 1998, is a Moroccan footballer who plays for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Moroccan national team.
He is primarily a right-back, but he can also play left-back and winger.
Hakimi is widely considered one of the best defenders in the world.
Early life and Education
Hakimi was born on November 4, 1998, in Madrid, Spain, to Hasan Hakim and Sadia Mouth.
His father, Hasan Hakimi, was a street seller, while his mother was a housekeeper.
He is his family’s first kid and first son. He has a younger brother, Nabil Hakimi, and a younger sister, Widad Hakimi.

Career
Club Career
Hakimi came up through Real Madrid’s youth system.
He joined Real Madrid Castilla in 2016 and was promoted to the first team in 2017.
He was loaned to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund for two years, winning the DFL-Supercup in 2019.
Hakimi later joined Serie A club Inter Milan for a reported sum of €40 million, helping the club win the 2020-21 Serie A title, their first in 11 years.
Paris Saint-Germain then signed him in 2021 for a rumored fee of €60 million.
International Career
Hakimi was born in Spain to Moroccan parents and represented Morocco at the under-20 level before making his senior international debut in 2016 at the age of 17.
He was included to Morocco’s squads for the FIFA World Cups in 2018 and 2022, as well as the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and 2021.
Personal Life
Hakimi was married to Spanish actress Hiba Abouk till 2023. She is of Libyan and Tunisian heritage.
The couple has two kids, born in 2020 and 2022.
On March 27, 2023, Abouk issued a message on her Instagram account saying that the couple had previously split and were awaiting divorce processes.
Hakimi is a practicing Muslim.
On March 3, 2023, an investigating judge in Paris indicted Hakimi on a rape charge and placed him under judicial monitoring.
He was not allowed to contact his alleged victim but was permitted to leave French territory.
Hiba requested half of Hakimi’s assets and fortune during their divorce processes but was surprised to learn that Hakimi’s properties and money are in his mother’s name.
